L.B. Woodchoppers Ltd. has been proudly serving the Alberni Valley and surrounding areas since February 12th, 1980. The original store began only a block away on 4th Ave, selling motorcycles as well as other power equipment. In 1982, L.B. Woodchoppers made the move to what is now the current location but still serves the beautiful Alberni Valley.
History
At the beginning the business was only a small chainsaw store serving the commercial industry in and around Port Alberni. Now it is a fully stocked forestry, clothing, consumers, lawn and garden, rental, repair shop. The growth we have seen at L.B. Woodchoppers has enabled us to stay competitive and better serve the public.
Since those early days at L.B. Woodchoppers Ltd. has grown throughout the years adding product lines like Honda, STIHL, Husqvarna and many more of the best quality equipment brands available. We service what we sell and are proud to be able to offer this satisfaction to the customer.
In 2004, L.B. Woodchoppers Ltd. went under construction and added a sizable addition to meet the demand for new clothing lines. From that point on, we have added and carried brands such as Carhartt, Dickies, Helly Hansen, Under Armour, Timberland and many more.
In 2013, the business expanded again acquiring a massive lot behind the existing location. This has allowed us to become more efficient, acquire more rentals and better serve our customers by adding parking and a much easier place for loading and unloading.
